   OK, either I’m the wrong person to respond to this or I’m exactly the right person - keeping that in mind, you’d want to remember that if you quit, everyone who annoys the living shit out of you will still be out there making every bit of noise that they’re currently making, but you won’t have a place to answer.

   I’ll grant you that it’s not necessarily worth keeping going just to answer back to people you wouldn’t bother with otherwise, but it’s something to keep in mind.

   I stopped reading feministe a few weeks back after the “why oh why are feminists so mean to pretty girls” thread. As for the massive blogwar meltdown at the start of the summer, I was pretty oblivious to that as my personal life was definitely front-and-center.

   Your posts were pretty much all that had been keeping me at feministe up until then.

   Once I get my laundry done and floors mopped and CLE finally, finally finished, I will probably do a post fleshing out some of the broad outlines of what’s going on, but not including any real details. Because I’m really not in the mood for a shitstorm.

   I have to say I’m curious as to what the problem is, zuzu. There haven’t been any big dustups or anything like that…at least not of the kind that led you to leave Feministe before.

   I hope it’s not serious.

   I, for one, will really miss you over there, but as long as you post here, too, I’ll be reading. I have to say that I like your writing better than the others at Feminste, mainly because you’re in the same profession and considerably closer to my age. There really is a gigantic hole in the blogosphere for women past 35, especially feminists past 35. I do enjoy reading your more personal stuff over here, though. Anyway, please know that lots of us really appreciate your work. Hang in there. Life always sucks when the laundry piles up.

    Is this about the Ouija uterus thing? Forget those assholes. Especially when they say that you’re more concerned with ideology and identity politics than logic. It’s not as though the upright liberal boys’ blogger brigade attacked you back when you said that Barbara Bush probably wouldn’t have made that Superdome Shangri-la comment if she’d ever spent a night under a leaky roof.

    I’ll be sorry to see you go if you do go, but I will understand. And I’ll keep reading you here.

    Oh, and sorry to hear about the job stuff. All my contacts are a few tiers below yours and on the wrong coast, but I do wish you luck.
