Aw. Is this the cat you recently lost?

Unfortunately not. She was the one we lost last year to cancer. (Kids, if you feel any kind of weird lump on your pet, TAKE THEM TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY!!! Don't wait a couple of weeks to see if it goes away.) It was our older cat that we lost last week to kidney disease. We're still a little numb about that one.

I am impressed to see that you’re able to get good pictures of your tortie. We had one with similar coloring (a little more brown and orange, a little less white) and she was the despair of my husband because he loved her dearly but never felt that he had gotten a good picture of her.

Aw. Is this the cat you recently lost?

She happened to be sitting in the light, and then when I processed the photo, I used "sharpen image" on it. Did not take care of the redeye, though. I *am* quite surprised that her little bronze eye-streaks came out.

She's very much my sweet cat, though. She is a little shy around strangers, but she's the first one to poke her head around the corner once the person's been there for a while. Especially if it's a guy with a deep voice. And she just loves the vet, which is a nice change from having to get the muzzle or at least a strapping vet tech for Junebug.

Ours was also similarly rotund, which was pretty funny: delicate little legs holding up a rounded body. We called her "otter" when she would roll over on her back and demand to have her belly rubbed.
