Sigh.

So pretty.

Vancouver. So pretty.

Yes, it is. Even more so than here in the Emerald City.

But Vancouver’s pricey. I don’t think I could ever afford it.

Indeed. I love Vancouver. I was thinking the other day that I haven’t visited in a couple of years. I need to drive up there and correct that this summer.

I’ve been looking at boats and houseboats as an affordable living option.

Also, keep in mind that “pricey” means something different to me, coming from NYC.

Well, it probably is cheaper than New York City. Plus, your being an attorney puts you in a much higher income bracket than mine. So it’s within your reach.

Visited there once, and it really is that lovely. I want to retire there.

I have heard that taxation in BC can be fairly brutal and that salaries are a bit lower than one would expect out of NYC.

But that view…. that view. That much clean air too, so many gorgeous crisp days….

Not to mention the walks through Stanley Park, the wonderful restaurants and clothing stores, the Jazz Festival…great city.

I was just there! Got back a week ago. I’m not much of a city girl, but it was beautiful.

I just got back from ten days in BC yesterday, and it is that gorgeous. We weren’t in Vancouver this time; we were on the Island, in Comox. We went to Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast last year. Both places are well worth a visit. I’d love to retire up there myself. We have friends that live in Comox and Sechelt, as well as Vancouver and its suburbs. The city itself is pricey, but some of the ‘burbs aren’t bad at all.

So, Zuzu, what’s your take on the BC Ferries summer uniforms dispute?
